Indian sandalwood being very scarce and often tampered with, the Australian “Mount Romance” project offers a sandalwood that is not only ecological but also a great example of fair trade: it is produced in partnership with the local aborigines. As a result of research, different types of sandalwood have been produced from the more classical style “ Mysore ” to sandalwoods obtained by the extraction of oleoresins with caramel-like aromas or even animal-like notes. Associated with the fragrant Chinese osmanthus this sandalwood perfume is lightened by notes of bergamot and lemon from Calabria and Sicily.
